MODIFICATIONS OR IMPROVEMENTS
The
Architectural Review Committee is charged with
assisting the Board of Managers to ensure the
community maintains an architectural style
consistent with the contemporary, organic design
intent of the original development. Before making
any modifications or improvements to your property please refer to the guidelines found in the Unit
Owners Manual. These guidelines will help delineate
the procedures that must be followed. For planned
exterior modifications to be considered by the Pickawillany Board of Managers, the homeowner must
complete a
Request
to Modify Common Property form along with the
neighbor's
approval form and submit them to
the Architectural Review Committee's Chairperson and
Board member
Pat Purtee along
with appropriate supporting materials, requisite
deposit, neighbor's comments and approval, and then
follow
ARC procedures to complete the process.
Once full detailed plans
are received by the ARC Committee, the Committee will review and perhaps offer
suggestions to the owner. When every thing is in order, the
committee will make a recommendation to the Board of "May Proceed" or "May Not
Proceed." The Board of Managers reviews the committee's recommendation and
makes a determination of whether the modification may proceed or not.
If this process is not followed, all unapproved work must be undone and returned
to the original condition at the expense of the violating owner. A fine
may also apply.
The ARC Committee is available
and eager to assist you in this process. We recommend you review the
Resident's Manual, Page 29-41, in addition to the links shown below for more
information.
